Daeven
Daeven, The Archfey rules over the Essantia (The Realm of Dreams), a land both surreal and beautiful, his servants are the Fey creatures themselves and the very beasts of the forests. Daeven, along with Chafta created life, but Daeven preferred life to be wild and untameable, predatory, and ruthless. Daeven has a twofold strategy for gathering souls, first, he promises to protect people from his dangerous wilderness and second offers to fulfil people’s inner desires.
Followers.
Daeven is the most important god for many people in Farnelia, he is the god of the forest and the patron of most druids who rule the forests. People in Achandia will usually only pray to Daeven before a hunt or when travelling through the woods. People give thanks to Daeven for the beauty of the wilderness and ask him to bless the bounty of the forest such as berries and game.
Priesthood.
There are no temples to Daeven but many sacred natural places are treated in the same way, these can include, waterfalls, pools, glades, bluffs or any other striking natural feature. In natural places which have few trees such as the steppe, grasslands and deserts, stone circles are erected instead.
The majority of Daeven’s priests are druids, but there are also clerics and warlocks. Priests end to dress in naturally sourced materials, such as furs, they tend to prefer to use weapons constructed from found (not logged) wood or living wood made by Tree Shapers.
Dogma.
Just as the Archfey guards Essantia (The Realm of Dreams), you must guard nature and its creatures such as fey who are the children of Daeven. Make your dreams a reality, act on your ambitions and desires. Be wary of material things, they lead you to a false promise compared with real power.
