Raf'norn, The Prismatic Seneschal
Raf'norn, the second youngest of the Draconis Quartet, lives freely in the Feywild, amongst the pantheon of The Domain of Light. While the quartet's parentage remains unknown to most - knowledge of such being mostly obscure albeit findable in some of The Kingdom of Teitanga's oldest libraries should one care to pour over tomes - the knowledge of the dragons' brethren are well known.
Raf'norn holds great contempt for their younger sister, Dizzorn, The Levy of Shadow, finding her cowardly and distasteful for engaging in what is described as "the obscuring of light" and his splendor. He finds his older two siblings, Li'tariel, The Dragon of Astrival and Ordnat, The Dragon of Niflheim to be a great annoyance as well, their constant fighting being a blemish on the Quartet's prestigious' name when they could all be shining as brilliantly as he.
Followers of Raf'norn find great pleasure in beauty and art, going through great and sometimes obscene lengths to immortalize anything that could even be remotely construed as artistic, from literature to compositions, everything created with grace, skill, and beauty is to be celebrated, and those that try to hide such glorious traits are to be.. pushed (sometimes obstinately) to "make their debut", so to speak. This.. is unideal for those who have no interest in fame or.. well, anyone who values privacy in their life for their work. Raf'norn's followers tend to also respect followers of Exol both for the god's own reverence for the beauty of nature and also because the moon itself is very pretty and well made.
Some dragons find themselves taken with Raf'norn's beauty and splendor, and so, go out of their way to find and spread such art where applicable, though others do tend to hoard it for themselves, sometimes even masquerading as eccentric and influential noble figures with great museums that to an informed eye could see it for the dragon hoard it tends to be.
Even so, patrons of the art find a great many reasons to follow Raf'norn even if they lack the draconic touch themselves.
Divine Domains
Beauty, Art, Fame. Three things that Raf'norn believes with all his heart. He is a Prismatic Dragon, he is all colors and he is beautiful and it's something to be celebrated across all walks of life, across all existences.
And just like he believes he should be around forever to be able to be gazed upon with adoring eyes? So too shall all who attempt to create art of their own. A celebration of talent and charisma, all of it shall live to see the end of days, and those that seek to hide it or destroy it should be dealt with swiftly.
Raf'norian Clerics are primarily Light, Nature, Peace, and Moon domain.
Holy Books & Codes
"Art"
Yes, unfortunately there is a book dedicated to Raf'norn and his teachings simply titled Art. Raf'norn wrote it himself.
Divine Symbols & Sigils
A prism, absorbing what can only be assumed to be a beam of light in uncolored depictions, bouncing through the prism and into a spray of.. what also can only be assumed to be a spray of rainbow.
Raf'norn greatly recommends any that would place his symbol on any object or architecture to color it appropriately.
Tenets of Faith
- Beauty is to be celebrated.
- Art is the ultimate expression of one's self, and you should express it at the top of your lungs.
- Anyone who would hide the ultimate expression of one's self should be enlightened.
- Beauty and Art should be preserved under any and all circumstances, for as long as physically and mentally possible.
Holidays
Raf'norn's Recital - On the last day of Feywild Peak, great artistic festivals are thrown all across Aden, all in celebration for art and literature and everything in between. Further still, everyone is urged to try their hand at creating something wonderful, and refusal is either met with more encouragement or disappointment.
It is said that Raf'norn also descends from his glorious palace in the Feywild to give a recital of a poem he had spent the year composing, which is where the holiday gets its name from.
