Session 3 - Lost Tomb, Continued

General Summary

16 Sydenstar, Da'leysen, 835 P.D. - Alfield
During the latest session, the party continued their exploration of an ancient dwarven tomb, attempting to break the curse laid on a chest of gold by the dwarven lord who is entombed here. Having decided to double-cross the goblins who offered them a quality rapier in exchange for defeating the spirit, the party continued their combat against a group of goblins. The party made short work of the remaining goblins, but unfortunately, the apparent leader and Goblin Cursespitter fled to safety.
The party went back to visit the dwarven lord, who indicated he would not yet remove the curse, as the cursespitter was still out there. He additionally let the party know there were other goblins in the lower level as well. The party descended through a secret staircase beneath a sarcophagus to find another level of caverns. There, they found a large underground pool where the waterfall from the upper level fell through the ceiling. Kai explored the waters, locating a gold ring. The party also found a chest with several potions of healing and a potion of gaseous form, the former of which quickly proved useful. Jandaelyn descended into a deep, natural fissure, where he was able to break off a substantial chunk of natural quartz, in the hopes it might bring something at market.
Further south, the cavern again merged in with another segment of ancient tomb, including a huge ancient hall lined with pillars, where the party again encountered the cursespitter, along with an enormous goblin wielding a battleaxe, as well several more goblins and Skitterlings. A battle ensued, centered around a massive stone obelisk with a giant suit of armor sitting in front of it. After defeating the goblins, the armor came to life, taking on the form of the dwarven lord. The lord thanked them for their service and agreed to lift the curse.
The party made their way back to Alfield to check in on the villagers and (hopefully) collect their reward.
