Ostrua
Located on the southeastern tip of Aecenys is the mysterious region of Ostrua. It is a well protected region with the Ashrane Peaks rising high to the west, the Aenean Ocean to the south and east, and the friendly Tusnyans to the north. It is a land of magic, both divine and arcane. It is renowned for its vineyards and its extensive mithral mines. The land is fertile to the north, while to the south the land is filled with dark forests and turbulent rivers. Although primarily human in population, the region has also attracted dragonborn, half-elves, and elves.
Worship of Ettuna is prevalent, although the Church of Cother and its great temple are located in the ancient city of Varadan. Once the great wizards of Ostrua found success in utilizing shadow magic, the region started to contort to reflect its use.
Geography
Ostrua stretches over approximately 350 miles from the Luin Nen to the Aenean Ocean, and another 300 miles from the Ashrane Peaks to the city of Varadan. It is separated into two sections by the Creus River, dividing the fertile north from the arid south. The vast majority of the country consists of flat, windswept plains, broken only by broad rivers and dark forests. The mountains to the west provide the region an ample amount of protection from the rest of the continent, acting as natural fortifications.
