Marshwatch
This small fortress guards the southern edge of the Ironwood Prairies from the creatures of Amberwood Forest. The only road out of the Ironwood Prairies passes through the fortress before entering Amberwood, where a contingent of the fortress's soldiers are sent to accompany the ironwood shipments through Amberwood to Bitterguard Keep.
It is well known that Duke Alafthor of Ironwood is attempting to find a way to bypass this long route to Fisterix by cutting through the swamp. All attempts to build a road through the swamp as of yet have failed, and attempts to take barges along Branch River face increased tariffs from the Duchy of Westmarsh.
