General Summary
In the afternoon of the 8th of Winterwane, 1179...
After leaving Morchars Marvelous
Potions, the party decided to follow up on some leads by going to the Compass Points Library. Upon being granted entrance, Nyx decided to begin researching alchemy to hopefully gain proficiency in the future. Aftering Nala insinuated that Dimre could not read, he attempted to find the largest book he could find, which turned out to be the "Aarcana Sutra", much to Dimre's chagrin.
Nala decided to search for information on the crown of Yulgotorix and its history, but did not find as much as she would have hoped. Nala also found information relating to the Underdark city the party stumbled uppn during their voyage into the Deeproads and about the Drow.
After a relatively unfruitful day at the library, Dimre suggested that the group would eat at Sizzlers for dinner. The group talked eith thr gregarious owner, a paunchy orc named Grodrokk, about taking on Abi Oravec as an apprentice chef, to which the orc said he would consider the offer. After some time, Hjoldain Stoneheart and several of his cousins brought a behir tail in to be served for that evenings meal.
Grodrokk prepared the dish while Nala spoke with Hjoldain about his Bag of Colding and inquired about the Dwarfs origins and skills. When asked if he enjous what he does he smiled amd siaid that the danger and excitement makes the peaceful moments more powerful. He also revealed that his mentor had been slain whilst investigating Voidmaw.
After this conversation, Hjoldain gave Grodrokk the electric gland if the Behir which he added to the stew and then forced the lid down while a concussive boom echoed throughout the restaurant. Grodrokk then proclaimed that the dish was ready to be served. The "electric Gumbo" was served and it allpwed those who consune it to give a static electricity shock to anyone for the rest of the day. Nala tried to shock Dimre but he dodged and then Nyx and Nala shocked Dimre. The shock did that circuit thing so it shocked nyx as well while domre remained unscathed.
After the meal, Nyx asked Grodrokk for extra cooking oil and some flavored smoked wood for Kindle. The orc was confised but allowed Nyx to seemingly pour both into his backpack. Nyx also challenged Dinre to arm wrestle again but to to the genasi's state of exhaustion, Dimre refused.
One customer who tried the gumbo had to run out and use a latrine across the street. The thunderous blast of gumbo blew the door off of its hinges while a scandalized noblewoman said "Oh my." The hapless man propped up the door as best he could but he still had to make eye contact with everyone walking along the street.
After leaving Sizzlers, the group packed up some leftover gumbo and went to warn Wilmer of the danger of the cloaked figures. Nala told Wilmer that Grodrokk might be willing to tutor Abi in cooking and this would keep her out of harms way as well. Wilmer agreed and he and Abi packed up their belongings. Wilmer lamented that their home would probably be occupied when they returned, but conceeded that if it kept Abi safe it was worth it.
Abraxis was delighted to have even more guests and welcomed both Abi and Wilmer. Abi excitedly started chatting to Abraxis as Wilmer unpacked their things.
Dimre discussed several more permanent hideouts the group could use. After some debate, the options were narrowed down to clearing out a gang hideout in the Undersity.
As the evening wound to a close, with Jovina still recovering from her injuries and unsure of what the future would bring, the party went to sleep. Kindle curled up with Nyx to help remove his exhaustion and ease his homesickness. Nyx heard a 'heartbeat' repetition of the word "Sabancaya" in his dreams that night.
In the middle of the night Nala noticed that Dimre snuck out of the room and began to climb to the roof. She decided to follow him...
