Woodsbury
Woodsbury is the archetypal frontier settlement that might be read about or illustrated in publications back in the old world. Rugged timber buildings sprawling haphazardly, tucked between trees and hills, the terrain yet untamed. Wide unpaved streets that sees a lot of horse and wagon traffic. A single general store, hotel and saloon each, mostly to cater for those stopping by on their journeys elsewhere as the citizens seem to prefer to mind their own business. Woodsbury has no leadership, no governance, no laws and that's how they like it. Populated by rugged pioneers, outlaws and heavily armed desperados, all here to escape the old world and start anew in Aelcantar.
Though the population may be small, it is perhaps the most well armed of any of the new world colonies. Every man walking with a holstered weapon or wand in his belt, and looking like he knows how to use it. The kind of people willing and able to eke out a living this far inland on the continent are well capable of taking care of themselves and handling any threats from outside, after all, the local hazards keep them well sharp.
