The Battle for the Ruul Valley was fought in the Fortress Town of Ruul between the armies of the Elves of Momufo, the Dwarves of Kekta Bandu & Gofohu, and the Dragons of Finggu Ransu fi Pakne.   Fought over the course of four days, the armies of the Elves and Dwarves successfully pushed back the dragons with both sides receiving considerable losses.

Elven Account of the Battle

The war began with the distant approach of dragons, their massive forms looming on the horizon like harbingers of doom. The Fortress Town of Ruul was fortified with three great companies of elves, each commanded by a different member of the legendary Gegbi Noble Family. Hede Gegbi led a company of a thousand valiant elves in the town center, while his brother, Hyibdub Gegbi, commanded another thousand in the lush forests of The Greens. Their father, the mighty Lord Byeyfi, stood at the helm of a garrison of five hundred warriors within the towering walls of Ruul Castle. The dragons descended upon the town at the break of dawn, their fiery breath sweeping through the air with a deadly ferocity. But the elves, armed with their ancient magic, stood their ground with unbreakable fortitude, protecting themselves with expert skill. Despite their resistance, the town burned, a raging inferno consuming all in its path. The drakes swooped down upon the town center, their savage teeth and claws tearing through the ranks of the valiant elves.   As the sun rose high in the sky, the elves found themselves pushed further and further back, their numbers dwindling with every passing moment. By the end of the first day, Hede's forces had been decimated, leaving only a hundred brave warriors to hold the line against their ferocious adversaries. Over the next two days, Hede and Hyibdub rallied their forces on The Greens, holding off the dragons with unflinching courage and unfaltering resolve.   By the fourth day, the elven forces outside the fortress numbered only three hundred, their situation growing increasingly dire with every passing moment. But hope was not lost. The Dwarves of Kekta Bandu and Gofohu sent word that they were marching with two great armies, one from the Fortress of Kekta Bandu in the South, and one from Gofohu in the North, and that the elves must hold out until they could arrive.   Lord Byeyfi committed four hundred of his five hundred-man garrison to the defense of The Greens, hoping to hold out until the Dwarven armies could arrive. But tragedy struck, as both Hede and Hyibdub were consumed by dragon fire, falling in the line of duty. Grieving at the loss of his sons, Lord Byeyfi unleashed his magical prowess, sending three enchanted arrows streaking through the air to strike down three of the four dragons. The use of such immense power took a heavy toll on Lord Byeyfi, and he breathed his last, his life force spent.   The remaining elves retreated into the fortress, besieged on all sides by the relentless onslaught of thirty drakes and a fully grown dragon. But fortune favored them in the end, for within hours of Lord Byeyfi's death, the Dwarven armies of Kekta Bandu and Gofohu arrived in a thunderous charge, fully armored and wielding weapons forged with the knowledge of humans. They made short work of the drakes, creating a kill box and finally laying them to rest.   The dragon fought with a fierce determination, but it was no match for the Dwarven might. Though it survived the battle, it was grievously wounded and would never fly again. The aftermath of the battle was a grim testament to the cost of war. Out of the initial force of twenty-five hundred brave elves, only two hundred and seventy survived. Of the fifty drakes and four fully grown dragons, only one dragon emerged victorious. The Dwarven armies, numbering three thousand strong, saw the loss of five hundred of their own, but they emerged victorious, their newly forged weapons bearing testament to their strength and determination. The Fortress Town of Ruul lay in ruins.
