Basilisk
Basilisks are a species of large ground reptile.
Basic Information
Anatomy
Large creatures, basilisks can grow up to an average of 35 feet long with a wingspan to match. They have an angular pointed head like that of a lizard with a mouth of sharp teeth that with a single bite can pass Scale Rot, a disease that all basilisks naturally carry. Four limbs are used to traverse the ground suprisingly quickly for thier size. Unlike other large reptiles of the world basilisks are usually dull in color with black, grey, or green scales. There have been seen white basilisks, however sightings are quite rare.
Growth Rate & Stages
Basilisks start out small, little more than the size of a cat, but grow rapidly, reaching thier full size in little more than three years after birth.
Behaviour
Basilisks are highly aggressive creatures and prone to attack even in unsafe situations. They are pack hunters and tend to live their entier lives group nests with the same basiliks they were birthed with.
Additional Information
Geographic Origin and Distribution
Basilisks can be found all over Aenia, but prefer the colder climates of the north where their nests are found much more frequently.
