Scale Rot
Scale Rot is the name given to a deadly skin disease that makes the skin hard and calcified, eventually making it split. Once split the exposed muscle underneath begins to rot, eventually poisoning the bloodstream and killing the infected. The sight of the rot is locallized to the exposure area, but in long transmitted variants it can spread in human bodies, taking over organs and killing more quickly.

Causes
Can be caught from a bitte or scratch from a Basilisks who are natural carriers of the disease, or by touching someone infected with the disease.

Can be treated (???), but will always leave scars
