Public Agenda

Gudheim must be worshiped by the entire world, by any means necessary, including conversion, missionaries and war. Those with god blood are chosen to lead the Gudheimic world to the salvation. Those that die in service to this goal or are devout, such as the Valnad, earn another life. All souls are trapped in the realm until the salvation, at which time they may move on. The most devout and valorous will enter the highest level of heaven. The decent live a modest after life, and the indecent, heretics and heathens live eternity trapped in the ice fjord, freezing but unable to die.

Mythology & Lore

The father god, Uther, was the first to turn time on Aeon. He harnessed powers existing in the world to create the other gods. First, he created Vrost, the god of ice and cold. He created a small pantheon of gods, and they together created and nurtured life on Aeon, including humanity. Peace existed until a new god arrived on Aeon, Morkir, god of darkness. Morkir meddled with humans, created war and famine and strife until Uther intervened. In the war of the gods, Uther and Morkir clashed. Morkir had a trick up his sleeve, monsters conjured from the darkness. The monsters captured Uther. The pantheon attempted to rescue him, but Morkir broke the ground beneath their feet and they fell into the underworld along with his monsters. Morkir pushed Uther in, but not before Uther impaled Morkir with a spear. Morkir, his physical body already turning back to darkness, used his last energy to cast a spell to create the world seal, which stopped time in the underworld and sealed it off, trapping the gods under the holy land. Before the spell was cast, each of the gods except Uther threw blood from their wounds out from the underworld.
The god blood was a blessing that created demigods, also known as the prophets. The demigods each had the blood of one god, which gave them power from that god. Their blood and power could be passed on to future generations of humans, and was the key to the salvation. The demigods revealed that with the gods sealed in the underworld, there was no one to take the souls to the afterlife. Until the salvation, or freeing the gods, the souls of all who died would meander aimlessly, regardless of their righteousness. The demigods created the tablet and the tenets. The tablet was a prophesy, the way for humankind to bring about salvation, and was described as follows:
When enough people are devout followers of Gudheim, a powerful god blood king will be born. He can sacrifice himself to channel the power of their faith through the world seal in the holy land. This will break the world seal and free the Gods from their prison and then allow the Gods to guide all the trapped souls to the afterlife. The prophesied god blood king will lead the forces of Gudheim in the conquest of heathen lands, convert an entire city to the true faith, will be crowned King twice, and will retake the temple of the world seal in the holy lands.
The tenets describe how to honor Uther and the pantheon by living in a righteous way. Only those who live by the tenets can have an afterlife of paradise. The faith of the righteous, which gives the gods strength, is the key to freeing the gods.

Granted Divine Powers

It is believed that Vrost was blessed by the gods with the frost blood, and his blessing lives on through his lineage in the Vrostson bloodline. This means they are chosen to be royalty and to lead the country into the next great stage.
