The Valnad Order
The Valnad Order is a religious order of elite Northern warriors from all Northern nations, considered among the best warriors in the known world.
While they often guard religious sites and temples, their primary purpose is more offensive. The Valnad distribute much of their forces to guard the borders between the Gudheimic world and the heathen lands, such as the Caria Empire and the petty celtic kingdoms in the south.
The Valnad not only man fortifications and defend against invasion, but launch campaigns to conquer or reconquer heathen lands. They are responsible for much of the relatively recent acquisitions of territory.

Their goal is to protect the Nordic people and Gudheimic faith, as well as to expand the Gudheimic territory. They are apolitical when it comes to the Northern kingdoms, and do not take part in any internal conflicts or answer to any Kings. They do, however, work with Kings and Kingdoms to protect and expand the Nordic influence. They are devout, some may consider them zealots, and they follow the tenets of Gudheim faithfully as the military arm of the religion.
