Korgobonthonor
(a.k.a. Festering Doom of Petrie Mire)
Korgobonthonor is one of the oldest beings in the universe, and the oldest living on Aerith. He is a Drakon, descended directly from Ilbrendar and Drakova. His rule over Petrie Mire is absolute, and fortunately for the world he believes the world does not extend past that. He is quite mad and if his madness were to ever be lifted he could potentially destroy the world. He is one of the most feared creatures on all of Starhelm.
This ancient Black Dragon rules over much of the Mire and is rumoured to be one of the most powerful creatures on Starhelm. His exposure to the Plaguelands has had an effect and he has transformed into a dreaded Shadow Dragon, granting him extraordinarily long life and great powers. The only thing that keeps him from destroying much of the continent is the madness that came along with the transformation into a Shadow Dragon. Korgobonthonor revels in his title as the Festering Doom of Petrie Mire and he does his best to keep his reputation. Luckily, his madness has confined him to the Mire, as he believes it is the entire world now. He does not go outside the edges of the swamp and is content to sleep most of his days, dreaming of the terrible destruction he will wreak on those who oppose him. Many leave offerings and sacrifices to him but most do their best to avoid the centre of the swamp. If Korgobonthonor’s mind would ever be restored, he would be a plague on all the creatures of Starhelm (and possibly beyond).
