Golzect’s Throne is a series of warrens and tunnels that leads to their underground city. The smaller settlements and tribes in the aboveground are typically wandering or temporary, due to the harsher conditions of the Desert of Rage. While the warrens are extensive and travel to most of the lands west of The Barrier Guard of Denethen is possible, the main area of Goblin civilization is within the walls of Golzect’s Throne. The cities of the Undersands, including the capital, contain mud, brick, and stone buildings, built upon each other at odd angles. To the casual observer it looks like some of them may topple onto each other, with haphazard architecture seemingly to blame. However, upon closer inspection the Goblins have done an excellent job of shoring up their homes to withstand many tremors, attacks from enemies deep in the earth, and erosion. Goblin society has learned to pillage and steal from other cultures, and the Goblin architect is no different. They have taken some of the clues gleaned from studying The Fallen’s architecture and made it the ‘Goblin’ way. They trap their warrens and homes often, and extensively, sometimes to their own detriment. Many a Goblin has been killed accidentally by his own trap, or the trap of his neighbours or family. In Golzect’s Throne the same architecture can be found as in other Goblin cities and villages, but multiplied tenfold. The warrens to and from the city are trapped and protected to keep their females and children, their treasury, and their resources safe. The great Melchinoopo makes his home here and his throne lies at the centre of the tallest building in Golzect’s Throne. Many caverns, buildings, and antechambers connect to the main palace but there is only one known way into Melchinoopo’s throne room (that anyone else other than a few select and trusted advisors know, that is).
