Asmodeus
Asmodeus is the Supreme Archdevil and undisputed ruler of the Realm of Darkness. He sits at its highest level within Nessus at the command of a great infernal host of devils and numerous captured and broken demons.
Whilst Asmodeus is acknowledged in his rule primarily by devils even the demons of the abyss have learned to fear his name.
Asmodeus has ruled the Realm of Darkness since the Cataclysm that ended the War of the Realms. Though serving only as a high general during the war he was able to foresee the closing of the realm gates and use it to manipulate events to weaken his rivals and consolidate his power over the other archdevils. With this power Asmodeus coerced the other archdevils into a council to determine the future of Infernus imposing the structure that continues today with him clearly at its lead. Asmodeus assumed the mantle of Supreme Archdevil and has crushed any who might have challenged him long before they dared to speak.
Since his rise Asmodeus' primary focus has been on returning to the Realm of Balance and seizing control of the land for his own forces. He presides over an ever-growing army ready to be deployed at a moments notice and plays those foolish enough to speak to him into assisting his ultimate aim of returning. Yet to those mortals who hear his honeyed words Asmodeus is a lawful force and while his contracts may contain more than meets the eye his gifts can grant power and wealth beyond imagination.
