Perhaps the most famed of the Demon Lords the Demogorgon is famed for it's savagery and brutality even amongst its own kind. It rules over a set of layers known as the Gaping Maw which are split, like the Demogorgon itself, into two parts. The host of the Sibilant Beast traverse the layers of the Maw enacting destruction against any who dare transgress its pass.
It is said that Demogorgon was once a rival archdevil fighting alongside Asmodeus in the War of the Realms. As the walls between the realm closed Asmodeus kidnapped his rival and began torturing him using powerful transmutation warping his devilish form into that of a grotesque demon with his mind split between two beastial heads. Driven insane his rival had no means to announce his heritage appearing as merely one among many monstrous Demon that had survived the retreat. Asmodeus then banished his 'rival' alongside the other war beasts to the Abyss they came from.
Whatever the truth Demogorgon roams his layers of the Abyss with a savage mind murdering anything in its path without care or thought. Within this remanences of knowledge remain and the Demogorgon's layers are known to hold all manner of ancient and powerful artifacts it had been offered by supplicants. Where any is able to unify its thought processes even for a moment the savage prince of demons can be turned into a ruthless ally with a hunger for unending vengeance.
