Portal Stones

Taken from the Faeywild Portal Stones are powerful magical items that allow its wielder to transport themselves across the Realm of Balance. They are the main means by which the senior residents of Strixhaven travel across the land but are often employed by Faey and other powerful spellcasters not in the service of the university.

Manufacturing process

Surprisingly simple to form; Portal Stones are created by taking a single stone from each of the seasonal courts of the Faeywild. Dipped together within a leather pouch into the Lake of Dreams the stones absorb the energy of the wilds allowing its wielder to return from any other location. Yet the true power comes when adding a stone from any other place in the Realm of Balance to the pouch which allows its owner to travel also to the location the stone was taken from.
