Shogun

The Shogun of Raijū was the ruler of the kingdom chosen as the most powerful noblemen of the land. Following the death of a Shogun, or a decline in their power, the nobles of Raijū would claim the throne for themselves. Though on occasion this would lead to a military conflict most often an agreement was found between the nobles to allow one to rule without challenge.
