Sovereign of the Four Seasons

The ruler of the Faeywild is granted the title of King/Queen of the Four Seasons to represent their dominion over the four seasonal courts. Ruling from the palace of dreams the title bearer does not hold loyalty to any one court and can judge their disputes fairly and decide the direction of the wilds as a whole.

Appointment

The King/Queen of the Four Seasons can only be deposed by the unanimous will of the four seasonal courts at which point the full Seelie Court is convened alongside any other powerful residents of the Faeywild to determine the new monarch that should lead them. This same process occurs in the unlikely event of the death of the ruler but the imortal lifespans mean that this has never yet occured.
