The Great Annihilation

Summary

The Great Annihilation refers to the tragedy that befell the Falaran Empire following the arrival of the Great Horde and the destruction it left in its wake. The annihilation decimated the eastern empire and crippled the Empire leading to several territories declaring independence in the aftermath of the Horde's defeat.
Perhaps the greatest atrocity of the war however was performed not by the Great Horde but by the Empire itself when Profundis Rax used the Eye of the Ocean to flood the Great Forest. 
The Great Annihilation heralded the end of the Second Age and a transformation of the Empire towards its expansionist ambitions.
