The Loa

While the Ederic gods are recognised as the deities of the realm so too is recognised their disinterest and at times inability to understand the common folk. This is where the Koangan faith in the Loa emerged. Spirits of former men and women Loa have become one with aspects of society, nature and life being able to tilt the odds in favour of those who pay homage or against those that sleight them. The Loa were once powerful Koangans who managed to gain immortality through becoming ghosts in their death. Most easily this is through their bones being interned at Tororut Temple and accepted by the Kabaka of the Ghost Court who is able to bind the spirit of the fallen to their bones and grant them ghostdom.
