Aros
Aros was founded by humans centuries ago, after escaping the slavery of the elves of Rakefia, which was a large empire at the time. It consists mostly of steppe-like plains, a lot of rivers, and sparse forests. Its main industries are farming, fishing, and hunting. Aros has a large military, relative to its size. This because a lot of its people are still wary of elves, and especially Rakefia. The city itself was founded in the far north of the region, as to be as far away as possible from their former masters, without encroaching on existing sovereign nations.
Tortoise Legion: Consist mostly of infantry phalanxes, supported by some archery contingents.
Wolf Legion: Vanguard of shock infantry, light cavalry, and mobile archery units
Bear Legion: Heavy infantry and archers, experts at siege defence. Supported by some heavy cavalry.
Stallion Legion: Consists entirely out of cavalry. Ranging from mounted archers to heavy horsemen.
Dragon Legion: Heavy and light infantry supported by battle mages.
Roc Legion: Siege units supported by war engineers and heavy infantry.
Current state
Currently Aros enjoys a period of peace, albeit uneasy in the case of their relationship to Rakefia. The 2 nations have been at war several times, but are now in the longest period of peace in a long time. Aros has always been led by the Epanas family, ever since Peleos Epanas and his son Aiakos founded the city after their successful rebellion. The current leader is Vasilios Epanas , a proud warrior-king. It is claimed that Peleos and all his descendants have the blood of Polemos coursing through their veins. The king is asssisted by the Assembly, a council of nobles, descendants of Peleos' generals of the rebellion.Miltary
