Personal history
He is is an odd one out to have been sent as a representative for the Albeos government, why after all would the council of the golden gear send such a prominent politician to do the work of an academic? One explanation for this can be found in his active participation and perhaps even leadership of a growing movement of magistrates and judges that the Albeos government has grown lax in spreading their ideas of enlightenment to other nations, still suffering under the yoke of tyrannical nobility.
Employment
He has strong ties to the Cult of retribution , he is sent here to find out if the ruins contain anything that could point the holy wrath of the cult towards the downfall of the god. The ecclisiarchy of the cult has cast powerful scrying spells and found out that the digsite could very well be the storage location of thinking, perhaps even alive entity that witnessed the aether storm.
Accomplishments & Achievements
Through careful maneuvering and scheming he managed to get the daughter of Councilor Anlyn Soll, the young student Emma Soll, to be attached to the expedition. By the time her mother found out, it was already too late to use her influence to block her daughter's participation without risking accusations of nepotism.
Failures & Embarrassments
Gileon lemert has been contacted by inquisitor Alexander Gutvin recently, where he was pressured into making progress into uncovering the contents of the ruins. Having explained the deadlock, inquisitor Gutvin explained that he would send reinforcements to help. Since at the time he had no idea how and when the inquisitor will send his reinforcements. Lacking any reliable method of calling of these resources he enlisted the aid of the fellowship of the star to break the stalemate.
Shocked by the brutal attack of Mathieu Dulefroux and the perverse magic employed to get what he wanted, Gileon has since publicly confessed his since and begged for atonement, taking up a mantle of servitude as repentance for his involvement.
