Ravani
Basic Information
Anatomy
Ravanis are birdlike humanoids. The non-bird parts of them generally look quite similar to Humans. They have feathers on their shoulders and the back of their necks, partially underneath their hair if it's long. They have feathered wings on their backs and they have six arms, each ending in clawed hands. These claws have strength on par with good quality steel and can be used to inject various poisons. The top hands have a slow-acting and painful lethal poison, the center hands have a soporific, which lasts about three hours, and the bottom hands have an intoxicant, known as Alazitru. Their lower legs and feet are covered by scales, but otherwise appear humanoid.
Ravanis are hermaphrodites, but primarily appear female and are typically referred to as such.
Some speculate that their human-like appearance is due to a shared ancestry with Humans, but there is currently no solid evidence to corroborate this.
Genetics and Reproduction
Ravanis reproduce sexually and are viviparous. Their gestation period is nine months.
Growth Rate & Stages
Ravanis don't start growing feathers until they are three years old. Their wings start to grow at age seven and are typically usable at age fifteen.
Ecology and Habitats
Ravanis typically do best in temperate environments with large open spaces. They typically live in Naraka.
Dietary Needs and Habits
Ravanis are omnivorous and are somewhat adaptable.

Interspecies Relations and Assumptions
Those of other races, especially those outside of Naraka, often stereotypically associate ravanis with lustfulness, disease, and mental instability. Some Aevorean religious organizations even claim that ravanis have a strong inclination towards pedophilia and regularly go after infants. Needless to say, most ravanis find this to be quite offensive.
