History & Usage

Everyday use

Alazitru is used by Ravanis in a variety of situations, ranging from combat to social encounters. It is also the main ingredient in Talon. It is fast-acting and addictive.
A normal dose of alazitru can cause a feeling of euphoria, dilated pupils, dulling of pain, increased libido, slightly impaired mental function, and increased appetite. Large doses can cause ecstasy, complete numbness, light sensitivity, significantly increased libido, significantly impaired mental functions, impaired muscular functions, and, if doses are administered by someone else, especially repeatedly, an increase in attraction towards that person. Extremely large doses can, among other things, cause muscles to cease functioning entirely, including important ones like the heart. In addition to these effects, alazitru can, if administered just before or during sleep, cause strange dreams, which are typically both frightening and sexual in nature. If doses are administered by another person, especially repeatedly, these dreams usually involve them.
Withdrawal symptoms of alazitru can include intense cravings, slightly darkened vision, melancholia, intermittent pain, nausea, and if doses were administered repeatedly by the same person, an intense desire to contact that person.

Distribution

Law & Regulation

Most places in Aevorea have heavily regulated or outright banned alazitru and any products containing it, such as Talon, either because of its dangerous nature, its demonic origin, or both. Of the Aevorean places where it is legal, it is generally only legal specifically for medical use, and only with other things that counteract the negative effects. The Templars will aggressively pursue anyone who illegally distributes it.
Alazitru is generally legal across Irkalla, although will some of the Princes will restrict it in times of war with Naraka.
