Military action
After the Crusade, an event known as the Restoration took place, which was an effort to remove Humans and repopulate Staerenriki with Svarts.
The damage sustained during the Crusade was immeasurable. Two kingdoms were completely destroyed, their populations exterminated. A third, Staerenriki, was almost destroyed, the native Svarts brought to the brink of extinction. They died to protect the Human refugees, and as such, there were more Humans than Svarts left in Staerenriki at the war's end. Some years after the Crusade, Staerenriki was a Human majority country, and had expanded to much of the land that previously belonged to the two destroyed kingdoms. Many people across Aevorea were angry at this turn of events, saying that the Humans who had brought so much destruction did not deserve such prosperity. Conspiracy theories began to circulate, stating that the Humans had planned this outcome from the start, that they were never enslaved in Irkalla, and that the whole war was a cover for them to infiltrate Aevorea and replace the native populations. Many of the other countries formed a coalition, and marched their armies to Staerenriki. The Staerenian Humans had somewhat neglected their military, and occupying the country proved easier than expected. The coalition began systematically exterminating the Humans, along with any Svarts that attempted to protect them. The coalition governed Staerenriki for many years afterwards, until there were enough Svarts to become an independent nation again, at which point the coalition government was disbanded. The few surviving Humans became pariahs across Aevorea.
