Elf

Hailing from the lands of Valdifell the Elves of Afarand are a mysterious people. Much of their culture is not shared as it is considered much more sacred and religious than others. Elves do not tend to create alliances with other states, nor do they meddle with the affairs of other factions. There are multiple "Circles" that make up the bulk of the Elven governance, if you could even call it that. These "Circles" are closely related to nature and the Elves druidic heritage. Over the past 1000 years Valdifell and the Elves have had dramatically increased exposure to the outside world. This has led to a majority of the Elf population to leave their homeland or invite outsiders through trade of valuable magical exports or education in druidic or arcane magic. Both of these trends have been primarily motivated by the Elves newfound desire to experience the world outside of Valdifell. This is in direct opposition to the conservative and ancient ways of The Circle, and in recent years has caused a sort of cultural divide among those that would spread their culture and those that would retain it within Valdifell.
The Elves are led by The Circle, a very loose religious and cultural governance that consists of many smaller "Circles" that all serve a specific purpose. These "Circles" almost identically match those of Druidic teachings. The most progressive circles with the most influence include; The Circle of the Land, The Circle of the Shepard, and The Circle of the Moon. Other more fringe circles exist, however many of their teachings have been lost to time, and these circles tend to be much more conservative than their counterparts.
