Vesperan Coinage
The coin of four nations
The Vesperan Coinage stands as a ubiquitous currency system, dating back to the zenith of the Divine Dominion's dominance over the northern expanse of Vespero. This four-coin arrangement was originally devised to cultivate economic unity and streamline trade among the regions under Galdorsmynd's rule. As each vassal territory progressively liberated itself from the grasp of the Divine Dominion's authority, the currency framework endured, with each nation crafting its own coins bearing the insignia of their sovereigns or emblematic symbols.
The coins in the Vesperan Coinage system bear the names "Pfennig," "Schilling," "Gulden," and "Batzen." The unassuming copper Pfennig takes center stage in everyday transactions, exchanging countless hands and chronicling the vibrancy of markets, taverns, and street vendors. The Schilling, holding a moderate value, is often the preferred choice for more substantial purchases. The prestigious Gulden, fashioned from gold, embodies true wealth, influence, and authority. At the pinnacle of this coin hierarchy rests the Batzen, a platinum piece renowned for its scarcity and prestige. The Batzen is a rarity to most commonfolk, often confined to bank vaults and seldom seen in the ordinary circulation of coins.
The only other currency used in the north half of Vespero is the Varlori Stoneshards system.

Regional variations
The Vesperan Coinage system displays variations in both minting techniques across different realms and slight variations in coin names. In ancient Galdoric, the original names for each coin were Kuffar for copper, Silubra for silver, Gulbra for gold, and Platar for platinum. These names persist in the Galdorsmynd region. In Demenore, copper coins are often colloquially referred to as "Droben," in honor of the first king who initiated their minting, Kral Drobnik. Gulden may also be known as "fey coins," named after a folklore tale in Demenore. In the Nine City Alliance of Valleterna, Schillings are commonly denoted as "Crowns" or "Corons."Exchange rate in other currencies
