The Stables

While Greenmarket is one of the newer neighborhoods of Kratas , the Stables are the newest neighborhood, and also the largest. It sits close to the eastern gate.
Prior to the Scourge, the area was used as a caravan staging area and livestock market. Originally all pack and draft animals were not allowed deeper into the city and had to stay here. As a result, the rest of the city stayed cleaner and quieter.
The roads of this neighborhood are unpaved, hard-packed dirt. They are also wider than most other roads in Kratas . Most of the buildings in this neighborhood are single story; horses don't much care for stairs.
The neighborhood still serves as a staging ground for caravans, often those loaded with stolen goods. It is also a favored area for ork cavalries and scorcher bands. This has lead to the neighborhood being smelly, dirty and loud but also the palce to go in Barsaive if you wish to hire mercenaries.
Due to the transitory nature of most of it's inhabitants, the neighborhood's population fluctuates wildly
