The Imperial Legion is the military arm of
the Imperium. Although it is commonly believed that peace reigns, in fact war is ever-present far from the heart of the Imperium where the empire pushes against the savage edges of its domain.
Officers of the Legion train at
the Citadel, as do some enlisted soldiers. Others are recruited from the ranks of the
Templar, local guard units, and other martial professions throughout the Imperium.
