Metro-Cathedral of Absalom

Long abandoned, the Metro-Cathderal served the city of Absalom as an Abadaran church for many decades and was well known for the large pipe organ that would play every Oathsday. Even after the earthquake that dropped The Puddles led to the abandonment of the cathedral by its parishioners, a small group of Abadaran faithful would ensure that the grand pipe organ would continue to play at least once a week. However, a massacre of those same Abadarans saw to the end of the music and the entire cathedral was boarded up and left to rot, abandoned for over a decade.

More recently, the front steps have been utilized as the hosting site for the Full Boat Soup Kitchen, a charity started by Artorius and helmed by the heroes of Edgewatch. Not everyone in the city seems to be quite so happy with this decision.

The Pipe Organ

The Metro-Cathedral boasts the unique privilege of housing an absolutely titanic musical instrument, the Metro-Cathedral Grand Organ (officially titled "His Resplendent Fulmination of Abadar" by its designer). 75 feet long, 20 feet deep, and over 45 feet tall, this pipe organ contains 200 ranks, 150 stops, and houses over 15,000 pipes. It is the largest pipe organ in the city, although the damage from neglect to its interior structures and bellows is sorely in need of attention.
