Davyn Korthus Eldesreld
King Davyn Korthus-Eldesreld, Second of his name (a.k.a. the Younger, the Great)
Davyn Korthus later Eldesreld, or Davyn the Younger was the only son of King Davyn Korthus the Elder. He rose to the throne as the fifth and final king of the Korthan Nation when his uncle, King Roald Korthus was grievously wounded in battle and no longer able to discharge the duties of the crown. During his long and immensely successful rule,
Davyn the Younger was responsible for the unification of all the clans of plainsmen from vast northern plains of what would later become the Kingdom of Elysia and the conquest of Everhold. The unification of the north under one rule was further codified by Davyn's rebranding of all his subjects as the Eldess (first people), their kingdom as Eldessar (land of the first people), and his own clan as the Eldesreld (first among the first).
He further cemented his place in history by renaming the capital city of Everhold Stormhold and establishing it as the capital of Eldessar. By the end of his nine-plus decades of life, King Davyn the Younger had come to be called Davyn the Great.
