Central Region
Geography
Landlocked on three of its sides the Central Region is nestled between both the Ice Spike Peaks and the Grey Slopes. To the north the Frost Deep Sea divides this region up further though it all remains to the east of the Peaks. The majority of all settlements and outposts reside in this region.
Fauna & Flora
Given its protection from the harsh winds to the west and from the shorter days of the east the central region has become home to many animals and vegetation of various sizes.
Plants
The most concentrated group of vegetation in the Northern Reaches resides in the Quabbin Forest which makes up roughtly 20% of the region itself. Other smaller forests dot the landscape sticking mostly to the Ice Spine Peaks as fresh water flows down its valleys. Still, given its cold temperatures the farming period is short and only crops with a quick turnaround are focused on. Root vegetables are also often farmed even in the colder months outside of the regular farming season.Animals
With smaller animals come more predators and that is very much true with this region. Rabbits, ferrets, beavers and the like are often hunted by both man and beast such as wolves, bears, foxes and predatory birds such as the snowy owl and white hawk.
