Acionna
Acionna is an ancient, powerful entity, known as the Mistress of the Sea. Legends surrounding her vary widely with little consensus even among her followers. Some say that she is the sea incarnate, other say that she a goddess of the sea, and others yet claim that she is actually a demon of the depths, interested only in sowing pain and strife. There isn't an agreement even on what she looks like. Sometimes she is depicted as a giant sea-serpent, other times a beautiful woman, and other times yet as a massive sea-turtle. This has led to rumors that Acionna is actually a shapeshifter, who can take any form that suits her. The only thing that is known for sure about her is that she is capable of granting her supplicants great power. Evidence has been found that she has been worshipped by civilizations long predating the settlement of Aheila, though the worship of Acionna in the civilized countries of Aheila is rare. This is largely due to the fact that Acionna is worshipped exclusively on Aheila and is not mentioned in the pantheons of other countries.
