Excelsior the Skybreaker, the Bright and the Beautiful, Lord of Rebirth and Transformation, Firehand and the Shaper.
Excelsior was a mortal soul, reborn as a manes from the River Styx. Of the great demons of his time, he was the only one not to be Abyssborn, and perhaps that is why he has always been obsessed with growing stronger. The demon prince of Khorundam is a twisted blend of mismatched demonic flesh, metal, wood and other materials.
Excelsior values strength in battle above all, and uses the fires of Rashalkthi and his own drive and ferocity to refine the demonic horde, and himself. With no fixed goal, however, his process is unguided, almost random; each transformation is aimed at a single improvement, and may well undo many more.
Every part of Excelsior's twelve-foot frame is beautiful - smooth skin, flowing hair, glossy scales, shining mail - but the whole is a hideous amalgam and a mockery of the perfection he seeks.
