Rassya
1st of Sun's Swell, AE 721
Rassya is a deity who sees little worship outside of Phicen, and a not insignificant amount of that worship is born out of fear rather than reverence.
Part of people's trepidation when it comes to Rassya is the reputation of the previous sun deity of the Lizdah era, Féngos. As the leader of the Lizdah Pantheon, he was known for his strength and ferocity, as well as for being responsible for the death of Kondrati, having sliced the original mother goddess in two, forcing her to reform as two separate beings, Nacha and Lovina. It's said there were once others who would have become members of the Ayadane Pantheon, giving it a more complete form had they not been crushed by Féngos.
Rassya too has been known for her temper and strength in battle, but has taken often a backseat in divine affairs. Considered to be a somewhat passive deity, she is often prayed to by agriculturalists to allow adequate rainfall during the summer months to ensure their crops live to be harvested.

Physical Description
Identifying Characteristics
Rassya is often compared to Féngos in appearance in addition to personality, although they share less in common when it comes to the former. Both were known for their glowing eyes and mouths, a feature they common pass down to their divinity-touched.
Rassya's skin often has the appearance of molten gold, shifting and flowing as she moves, further accentuated by the number of golden accessories she wears, but she has been known to occasionally take on a more human-like appearance, looking like a young woman in her twenties with warm brown skin, black hair, and brown eyes. Even in this humanoid form, gold still appears to cling to her skin like metallic birthmarks.
Social
Contacts & Relations
Avari's suspected distaste for Rassya is believed to have stemmed from a hatred for Féngos. In the Lizdah Era, Féngos and Reszket, Avari's predecessor, were closely associated; the sun and natural disasters were both two great cosmic forces beyond the control of mortal beings, but now in the Ayadane Era, Avari spends little time in divine realms, preferring the mortal plane in a nation of his own making, solidly on the star-facing side of Aidonia, never touched by sunlight.
Sedin and Rassya are known to be rather close, however. Sometimes referred to as half-siblings, and other times as cousins, the two are similar in age and both, along with their mothers, complete the quartet of seasonal deities.
Family Ties
Rassya only has a mother, Nacha. As a goddess of motherhood, Nacha is believed to have only needed to wish to be with child to make it so, and so she became pregnant with Rassya, her only known child.
Rassya's relation to Sedin and Stradan is somewhat complicated, and they may all be considered either half-siblings or cousins.
