The Herd

The Herd is a Family of The Raziim that values strength above all else. They are known to run security units for any travel deep into the Keldris that's outside Mienica. They also work as security detail for any who need it, as a general paid service, for anyone outside of the Family. They quietly control the slave trade as well.

The current Shepherd of The Herd is Kazna the Kruel. This leadership position isn't passed down through blood relatives, but through strength. Any Shepherd can be challenged in the Pit, which is a fighting ring in their base of operations outside of Mienica. In the city, they primarily operate out of The Fold, a tavern near the south entrance, but a good deal of their operations also happens further south and away from Mienica proper. There's a cave tunnel a mile south of the southern gate, which leads deep down into the rock and to a natural cavern. There's a combination of natural and carved tunnels and rooms, many of which hold slaves for trade.

They use their publicly known jobs as security detail to move any slaves through the city. No one looks twice at a Herd member acting as security. There are also arcane Family members who control the slaves so they don't act out.
