Guardians of the Grove

Created by the the druid Tharaz Tonack, using the fruit from trees in Saol's Grove, the Guardians of the Grove are made from the spirits of the fey that had once resided in the forest, and had passed on, but still desire to protect their home even beyond death. Through his magic, and the life giving fruit of the Grove, Tharaz created wooden bodies from the trees of the Grove, so that these spirits could freely enter them, allowing them to once again protect their home.
Capable of using druidic magic, thanks to their creator and the life giving fruit, Guardians of the Grove are fierce warriors, remembering their martial prowess in life. Although no where near as powerful as Tharaz himself, the use of the Guardians ability to camouflage easily in their home as well as their ability to use the trees and nature of their home, calling animals to their aid when need be, make them very dangerous to adventurers unfamiliar with the forest.
Many of the Guardians are different in appearance, as many fey differ in appearance in life. Some take the form of humanoids, being almost elf like in build, while others can look more beast like. Many also vary in size, though all are made from wood, with moss and leaves often growing on them. When in combat, those who use weapons, often favour bows or spears, also made from the trees of the forest.
