Lariel, the Fallen Daughter

Lariel is one of the three children of the ascended goddess Filodoxia, The Ascended, and is youngest of the three. Unlike her siblings, Lariel lacked the ability to cast meaningful magic, instead needing the blessing of her mother in order to be considered an equal of her siblings. When Nalista came to The Continent, and was eventually banished by the three siblings, Lariel was slain, driving her brother, Kanerast, The Mad Son, to insanity.
Laria was revived by her sibling, but the process was imperfect, done out of pure will and arcane power, causing Lariel's soul to enter an undead body. Her once red skin turned pale grey, and she became unable to feel pain cure her eternally starving body or quench her infinite thirst. The revival also meant that she had no true will of her own, at least as long as her brother continued to live, and could not truly die.
Because of this, Lariel agreed to being sealed with Kanerast, until Zarian, Son of the Ascended had found a way to rid his sister of this curse. Things did not go to plan; however, as Kanerast managed to free himself from his confines, only to be slain a few years later. During this time, Lariel remained sealed trapped within her mirror in The Nichteil, guiding triumvirates to pass the time to cure her of her inevitable boredom. Not once was she given the opportunity to escape herself, until a man named Dalion, the Demon Hunter offered her the chance to escape with him, if she aided him in slaying his brother. She agreed, only finding out that her brother had already been killed after escaping. Now she resides in the mirror, within Dalion's Infernal Inquiries Agency, in the hopes that he will find a way to set her free.
