Mitera, the Mother of Wrath
Mitera. The Mother of Wrath. The Purger of those that should not be. She has many titles, being the second being, behind her partner Pateras, the All Father, to arrive that the astral sea that surrounded Ultis, the Primordial of Time. Once they had arrived, the two began the foundations of a new world, in which their curiosities and pleasures could be sated. She cleared the way, purging parts of the astral sea from existence, making room for Pateras to begin his work. His imagination led to he creation of Elysium, a realm of such pure light, that it could banish the pure darkness of the astral plane. There they would rest, making it their home in which Mitera would often watch the realms below as they were being willed into existence, coming in to destroy that which should not exist, such Patera' curiosity get the better of him. Both were aware about how vital their role was to creating the perfect world that would be able to sate both their curiosities, as creation and destruction, since they found each other, had always gone hand in hand.
The Primordial Children
Continuing to forge the world, choosing to create it realm by realm before unifying it all, doing this from their celestial throne, they realised that they required beings of lesser power to create beings to populate the world they would create. Before the creation of Aither, both the Primordials had never needed to limit their own powers for any reason, allowing it to radiate from them indefinitely, and the creation of equal beings could disrupt everything they had done up until this point, with Ultis sheltering himself in a an orb of light to avoid annihilating the work of Pateras. It dawned on Pateras soon after, in his infinite mind, that, in a single night of passion, he could have all he wanted. He and Mitera, in a unity of their love and lust, created twin children, primoridals like them, but with the control that they lacked. Afrid, the Goddess of Life and Avalore, the Goddess of Death were born and, from them, servants were created, celestials made in their image, capable from descending into the realms below the heavens of Elysium. This was not the end of their creation; however, as they began to experiment, much to their parent's delight, creating unique beings, lesser than them but greater than the celestial servants, allowing them to roam the realms below. From this, the Lesser Gods were created. The First Act of Sin
As more and more beings were made, ranging from servants of the Primordials to lesser beings that roamed the realms, Mitera learned a hard and bitter truth. Pateras, the being that she chose to spend all existence with, did not need her aid in creating the world any longer. He had gifted her all of this, all of it to watch go by, but it wasn't what she wanted. She wanted to be with him, be with someone at least, create it will him, see everything below them pass by to sate their curiosities together, not alone where one watched the other. In her mind, she saw that this world, which they created for each other, was beginning to take precedence over their relationship. In an act fueled by loneliness and wrath, Mitera sought Ultis, confiding in him as she lamented in her pain. Together, they committed the very first act of sin, creating a child, Ornathon, God of the End. Discovering this, Pateras entered a fit of pure, unbridled rage, delivering to the world a wrath that not even Mitera could match. She experienced fear for the first time, being ripped from the paradise they created together to somewhere far, far away. Somewhere so deep in the astral sea that, even if they wished to return, they would never be able to.Divine Symbols & Sigils
Mitera, because of her nature and what she represents, is worshipped less than even Pateras. Being in the world of Aither long before mortals existed does make it difficult for them to believe in you, even if your existence has been proved many times over. It is said, though, that, unlike Pateras, Mitera had a true love for her children, Afrid, Avalore and Ornathon. There are those who believe that Enderfall is fast approaching, and naively hope that, in their time of need, Mitera will return to purge the evil that comes to end mortality. Those who believe this wear symbols of a series of floating, broken rings, representing the ver essence of continual, eternal destruction.
