The Genesis of Aither

Before time itself was recorded by any being in Aither, there was but one. Ultis. At this time, he was not given the title of God, let alone primordial. He simply existed, alone in astral space. It was then, in the eternal sea of twilight, that two being came. Pateras, the Primordial of Creation, and Matera, the Primordial of Destruction. Seeing the near endless expanse before, them began their work, forging the world of Atiher.   They began with its very structure, building the foundation which each of the planes of existence would be created upon. Ultis simple watched in curiosity, illuminating the world in his brilliant, solar power so that he could see the two primordial's workings. They build the planes, with one at its very centre. The Material Plane. At the very top, is Elysium, which they decided to make their home, allowing them to see all that they created. At the very bottom, is the Banished Vale, the end of the Underworld.    Before they could finish their work, they decided that they needed unpredictable creations to fill the planes that they created, thus they made the first beings of Aither. Afrid, the Goddess of Life and Avalore, the Goddess of Death. They, in turn created the first beings, the Lesser Gods, to fill the world.   The creation of the Aither made Pateras neglect with love, and, in an ironically mortal frame of mind, Matera turned to Ultis, and the two created a child of their own, Ornathon, God of the End. This caused Pateras to fly into a rage, taking Matera, and leaving Aither before it could be finished, leaving areas such as the Banished Vale and The Nichteil to be places of incomprehensible confusion. His wrath also conjured the Eldritch Horrors, creature that embody pure incomprehension, being the last creation that were made from Pateras' hands.
