Order of Hexers
The Hexers also referred to as the Order of Hexer were a sect of Unity-sensitives who utilized the dark side of the Unity (known as the Void). These Dark Siverain had once been members of the Siverain Order, a monastic Unity religion dedicated to peace through the use of the light side of the Unity. The Dark Siverain, who refused to rely exclusively on the light side, challenged the Siverain by giving in to The Void, which started the Hundred-Year Darkness. However, they had been defeated and subsequently exiled from Akeroth. This religious order would survive in many different incarnations throughout Akerothian history. The rise of a new leader, or Lord, would often cause drastic reorganizations in the cult; however, the Hexers would always be characterized by their lust for power and their desire to destroy the Siverain Order.
The Hexers were the most infamous of all dark side religions, and the members of the cult were often seen as the pinnacle of power within the dark side. Throughout their long history, the Hexers commanded several Empires and initiated many wars. With such great influence, the Hexer religion inspired many cults that weren't technically part of the Hexers Order, nor did they consist of actual Hexers. Instead, they were founded and made up of Hexers devotees and other Unity-sensitives dedicated to prolonging the teachings and the memory of the Hexers. Such cults included the Jesters of Chaos and the Kath.
After the countless wars, the Hexers decided to cease their lust for control and Lord Qinun made a pact to leave the Siverain to their business as long as they do not interfere with his plans thus The New Order of Hexers was born and this incarnation would solely focus on the hunting of creatures within Akeroth and use the guise of ‘mutations’ to hide the teaches of The Void. They currently reside in Roh Morhen.
