Shandar's Univeristy for the Arcane

Shandar's University for the Arcane is one of the seven schools that teach the magic arts. It is located in Meretbar, Albernia. They are renown for their department that specializes in the transmutation of metals. As with all the other schools, there is a portal room that provides quick transportation to the other schools. They are led by their headmaster Fendar Fizzerwick, who is one of few gnome wizards.

Master Shandar

Shandar himself was regarded as a master of his craft and lived nearly 200 years ago. Despite the fact he wasn't a master of Endomic, like some of the namesakes of other renowned schools, he led an extraordinary life. He was considered one of the finest transmuters in living memory. Many of his works remain on prominent display, such as the gold state in the middle of the campus. Legend says he transmuted it from mud over a period of a month.
