Personal history
Aoife was a happy and bright young lady. She was beautiful and charming and was considered the prime catch for many a young clansman. After her marriage to Seamus McNaughton, she grew into a stunning woman. Following the death of her only child, Hamish, Aoife fell into a deep depression that eventually led her to suicide.
Mental Trauma
Aoife suffered from a deep depression that manifested itself after the death of her infant son from consumption. Her mental illness probably lay dormant until the triggering event. Most likely their was a family history of depression and issues of sanity.
Relationships
History
The Laird and Lady McNaughton met young, fell deeply in love and married at the age of 20 and 17 respectively. The marriage produced only one child. The child, Hamish, died in as an infant from consumption. Following the death of her child, Lady McNaughton began to spiral into depression. She eventually took her own life. This tragedy caused the Laird of McNaughton to also spiral.
