Leading the hosts of Dalriath into battle, his bravery and strength were more than a match for many a warrior. In his years fighting to expand the reach of Dalriath's crown, his blade and helm were notched many times but never sundered. It was his leadership that broke King Othric's siege of Kintyre, his shrewd diplomacy that forced concessions from Queen Acha of Strathmorne, and his stern stewardship of the clans that paved the way for his father's dynasty to endure. Perhaps his only failure as a king is that his chosen tanists have thrice fallen to blight, boars, and madness, leaving his youngest son Malcolm to inherit the crown on his death. Since the deaths of his other children, Eramon has shown little interest in Malcolm, instead remaining ensconced in his hall and leaving only to embark on hunts ever deeper into the wilds. Rumors abound that he seeks whatever malevolent spirit is responsible for the ill fortune plaguing Dalriath, that he mayhap even blames it for the fates of his children and intends to take vengeance and put it to steel. Certainly, the bond of trust between Eramon and the sage Taliesin has not been repaired since Lachlan, his eldest son, died in Taliesin's care, and the Reliquist Findlay has been more in his confidence ever since...
