Personal history

Aera originally lived in a small community in The Cloudspires. One day, he left his home to venture out onto the sea, joining a series of merchant vessels to explore the various port towns and cities on the coast of Concordia. It was during this time that he was introduced to the worship of Kord, the Stormlord, which he learned from the sailors who wold pray for calm weather. At first, Aera didn't understand the desire to avoid storms, given his lineage. However, once he witness how helpless some of the merchants he travelled with were when subjected to the weather he took for granted, he realised something had to be done to help these people. He settled in Caer Carden and began a school of magic at The Stormward Temple, which trained individuals to be able to manipulate the weather and control the ocean waters to a degree which would be able to help support ships which got into trouble. The graduates of this school became known as Stormtamers, with Aera as their leader. 
Aera now works as the bishop of The Stormward Temple while also training the newest generation of stormtamers. He is a vigilant watcherof the seas and is very protective over all those who sail in and out of Caer Carden. Despite that, towards his Stormtamer Initiates, he is a ruthless leaders, who famously give them no quarter in their trials, because he knows The Stormlord will not either.
