Aldren came to his position after decades of hard graft and determination. He rose his way through the ranks of Shawcorss' military, having joined it in his teenage years. After the retirement of the previous general, Aldren was allected to take his place over a decade ago by the majors which now from his council. He is viewed by most as a firm but fair ruler and is a devout follower of The Lawbearer, frequently being seen in the company of Archbishop Raylen Creed, and is determined to see his city protected, whatever the cost. However, those who know him more closely are aware of how truly merciless he can be in this pursuit.
