Personal history

Qualen was an inventor for most of his life. He made clockwork devices and toys for small children at a shop in the city named Cogsprocket's Gadgets and Games , however he eventually went out of business as imports from the mainland took much of his customer base. With the money he had saved though, he purchased a rundown tavern in Mistcloak Harbour and used his expertise to create a drinking experience he beilieved many would enjoy. He was correct, and these days The Kraken's Keg and its namesake clockwork seamonster bring in more business than he ever saw in his toy store.
Qualen is a polite, older gentleman with a fancy for whimsical things and jokes, whether they be practical or spoken. He is always happy to help others with their tinkering attempts should someone ask and despite his clients oftern having 'disagreeents' with one another, he always seems to find a way to settle things peacefully, perhaps because no one can stand to be angry with the sweet, old gnome.
