The Boathouse
Description
The Boathouse is a inn located along the River Lata. Alongside its traditional services of board and lodging, the inn also provides riverboat services to transport patrons to and from Polcaster downstream. The Boathouse has access to 1 keelboat and 5 rowboats. Exterior. The Boathouse appears as a large, blue-tiled, tudor-style building with three floors. The boarder of the inn by the road is lined with raised beds growing vegetables and herbs, all set into old rowboats. Around the back of the building is a number of stables and cart sheds, each custom built to be shaped like the bow of a ship standing upright. Next to this is a dock which houses the inn's keelboat. Interior. The inn has a waterway cutting through its center with the bar on the far side and a small, retractable bridge connecting the two halves at its center. The waterway leads between a large set of doors on its western side, which connect to the river outside, and the storage area for the inn's rowboats on its eastern side, which is accessed from a separate walkway through a door by the bar. Communal table seating is available on both sides of the water, with the tables being made from old rowboats, similar to the ones outside, and matching wooden timbers. Finally, the walls are decorated with pieces of artwork depicting various costal, riverside and lakeside landscapes.Riverboat Services
