The eldest of the Reàltaí and Le Gardien de le Manteau Céleste, Racine Spectra Voleuse is the physical manifestation of the brightest of Avalon’s moons. Her brilliant blue light shines the brightest in the night sky over Avalon.
The season of Glowan marks the rise of her dual aspect, Le Hibou Qui Voie Le Lune.
As Glowan ends and the lights above Avalon grow ever dimmer, Spectra frightens her younger sister Galatea out of the sky on the 28th night of Síoraí in a ritual known as Le Hurlement Qui Vole La Lune (Common trans. “The Howl That Steals the Moon”). This ritual is an ancient and vital part of Avalonian culture that marks the beginning of the holy period of Alamort and serves as a reminder that all the souls of Anima are lost lest they turn to the light.
